Apple Signals That It's Working on TV+ App for Android Phones
By Mark Gurman via Bloomberg
Apple Inc. is seeking a senior Android engineer to develop a TV+ app for Android phones, indicating plans to expand its TV+ service to the rival platform.
The move is notable as it's rare for Apple to create software for non-Apple platforms.
The job listing highlights the aim to introduce "fun new features" and create an app used by millions for TV and sports content.

By Mike Corder via AP NEWS
An international police operation, coordinated by EU justice and police agencies, has dismantled ransomware networks, arrested four suspects, and seized control of over 2,000 internet domains.
The operation, codenamed Endgame, involved law enforcement from multiple countries, including Germany, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Ukraine, United States, and United Kingdom.
The takedown targeted malware "droppers" like IcedID, Pikabot, Smokeloader, Bumblebee, and Trickbot, significantly impacting the global dropper ecosystem and cybercriminal operations.

The Spacetop G1 Arrives This Fall. We Try the AR Laptop With No Screen
By Julian Chokkattu via WIRED
Sightful's Spacetop G1, an AR laptop with no physical screen, will be available for preorder at $1,900 and ships in October.
The device pairs XREAL AR glasses with a keyboard chassis, creating a 100-inch virtual screen, and features an upgraded Snapdragon QCS8550 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a brighter display.
New features include a more intuitive storage design for the glasses, support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, and enhanced comfort and usability, particularly in various lighting conditions.
Chrome adds picture-in-picture web browsing for Android apps
By Emma Roth via The Verge
The Chrome M124 update introduces picture-in-picture mode for in-app webpages in some Android apps, enhancing multitasking by allowing users to minimize and swap between webpages and apps.
This feature is available in apps using Chrome Custom Tabs, which lets developers create customized browsing experiences; a down arrow in the top-left corner of an in-app webpage minimizes it to a floating window.
This update improves user experience by preventing the loss of webpage content when switching between an app and an in-app browser, with hopes of broader adoption beyond Chrome-based mobile browsers.
Amazon gets FAA approval to expand US drone deliveries
By Aisha Malik via TechCrunch
Amazon has received FAA approval to fly its delivery drones longer distances, enabling the expansion of its Prime Air service to more customers.
The approval follows years of development of Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) technology, allowing drones to safely detect and avoid obstacles.
Amazon plans to expand drone deliveries in College Station, Texas, integrate drone deliveries into its same-day delivery network later this year, and aims to deliver 500 million packages annually by the end of the decade.
