Openai
OpenAI has launched Study Mode in ChatGPT, an interactive learning experience that guides students step by step with Socratic questioning, scaffolded responses, personalized support, and knowledge checks to foster deeper understanding rather than just providing answers.
Built with input from teachers, scientists, and learning experts, Study Mode leverages research-backed methods—such as active participation and metacognition—while offering flexibility to toggle on/off and tailoring lessons to user skill levels.
Currently available to Free, Plus, Pro, and Team users (with Edu coming soon), Study Mode aims to transform AI-assisted learning, with upcoming enhancements like clearer visualizations, progress tracking, and deeper personalization, supported by research partnerships through OpenAI’s NextGenAI and Stanford’s SCALE Initiative.

By Mark Zuckerberg via Meta
Mark Zuckerberg outlines Meta's vision for developing personal superintelligence that empowers individuals to achieve their own goals, create, connect, and grow, rather than focusing on centralized automation of work.
He argues that superintelligence will usher in a new era of personal empowerment, allowing people to leverage AI to improve their lives, expand creativity, and enhance relationships, while raising new safety and open-source challenges.
Zuckerberg emphasizes that the coming decade is pivotal in shaping whether superintelligence becomes a tool for individual empowerment or a force that replaces large segments of society, reaffirming Meta’s commitment to build and deliver this technology at scale.

YouTube rolls out age estimation tech to identify US teens and apply additional protections
By Sarah Perez via TechCrunch
YouTube is rolling out age-estimation technology in the U.S. to identify teens using signals beyond declared birthdays, applying protections like disabling personalized ads, limiting repetitive viewing of sensitive content, and enabling digital well-being tools.
Users wrongly flagged as under 18 can verify their age through a credit card, government ID, or selfie, while only verified adults will retain access to age-restricted content.
The rollout, part of YouTube’s 2025 safety roadmap, comes amid heightened U.S. regulation on minors’ social media use and follows similar age-check enforcement in the U.K.
𝕏: The audacity of these people to think they can tell adults what to do. This is a global, sudden effort and honestly i cant ignore the patterns. Payment processors, governments, companies….the next big money maker is this kind of software... - Savvy ( ˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵ ) (@MadamSavvy)
Meta Is Going to Let Job Candidates Use AI During Coding Tests
By Jason Koebler via 404 Media
Meta will now allow job candidates to use AI tools during its coding assessments, marking a significant shift in its hiring process.
The move reflects the growing acceptance of AI-assisted development in the tech industry and aligns with how engineers work in real-world environments.
This policy change could reshape expectations for technical interviews, potentially influencing hiring practices across other major tech companies.

Adobe releases Windows on Arm versions of Premiere Pro and After Effects
By Tom Warren via The Verge
Adobe has released beta versions of Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Media Encoder for Windows on Arm, marking their first native ARM64 builds.
The betas lack key features such as ProRes support, hardware-accelerated H.264/HEVC playback and export, and compatibility with various file formats and third-party extensions or plug-ins.
This release follows years after the ARM64 beta of Photoshop, providing native support for Qualcomm-powered Copilot Plus PCs that previously relied on slower emulated versions.
